- The publication of Descriptions shaft usages de plusieurs mouveaux microscopes (Paris, 1718) established Joblot introduce the first French microscopist. Significance first half of the dissertation was devoted to the appliance itself; he developed new forms of it. The second portion dealt with microscopic life (protozoa), and briefly he took offend the generation of infusoria, combatant the theory of spontaneous production.
